Liverpool's injury problems continue to mount up...

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to be out for four weeks after being forced off injured against Manchester City.

The defender pulled up injured at the Etihad. It has since been revealed that he suffered a calf injury during the game.

Alexander-Arnold went for a scan, and it has been reported that he will miss around a month’s action for Liverpool.

According to a media watch, as a reminder,  Liverpool have lost ONE game of football

It was already known that the full-back would miss international duty with England. But he is now expected to miss league games against Leicester, Brighton and Wolves. He will also likely be out for their Champions League games against Ajax and Atalanta.

This disappointing news is the latest in a long line of Liverpool injuries. Allison missed a couple of games before Virgil Van Dijk suffered a season-ending injury against Everton.

The Dutchman was involved in a nasty clash with Jordan Pickford. It was later confirmed that he had suffered a cruciate ligament injury and that he required surgery.

Fabinho is out until after the international break. The Brazillian suffered a hamstring injury in the Champions League against FC Midtjylland.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have also been without Thiago. But they hope that the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich man will be fit to return after the national break.

Despite their injury woes, Liverpool have still made a strong start to the new season. They are third in the Premier League after eight outings. The Reds are just one point behind Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester at the top.

They were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Arsenal. But they sit top of their Champions League group having won all three of their games so far.

Liverpool’s first game after the two-week break is against league leaders Leicester at Anfield.
